Emmeline 4 Re recycles textiles for environmental gain, leading the way in the fashion market. Exploring and pushing boundaries, to generate individuality and style for conscious individuals.

Emmeline tells Kucha "The whole ethos behind the label is highly ethical so the challenge for me was to capture the feelings without compromising the ethics! Recycling is a serious issue, so we are very passionate about colour, cut and trim of our clothes to make sure the finished product is not seen as recycled garment but as a highly desirable fashion piece with the added bonus that buyers have a clear conscience!

Recycling
Buttons, threads and zips - are collected from all sources including donations, from companies, people interested in recycling and friends and family. We particularly love vintage buttons to add even more individuality to garments, and make each garment even more unique.

Linings - are sourced from textile manufacturers, ends of rolls and off cuts. These fabrics would usually end up in skips and landfill if it wasn’t for these eco-conscious companies.

Fabrics - come from Kettering Textiles Ltd. and the Salvation Army Trading Company Ltd. Thanks to their high environmental awareness, they continue to minimise waste at all costs. Items that are ripped, fabric remnants and items that would otherwise end up in landfill are diverted to us to recycle into beautiful garments.

For inspiration for my current collection I went old school, literally! Thinking back to innocent days of school, and the long hot summers we would look forward to. I wanted to recreate this feeling with the Sweetened Reality collection making something that was going to be fun to wear and maybe a little cheeky.

I find it really exciting to see eco fashion creeping more and more into the mainstream, becoming more eco friendly and ethically aware doesn’t mean you have to stop looking good and feeling great about your wardrobe."
