For her Summer 2011 Collection, Elena Garcia was inspired by the Suffolk country cottage where her family go to, to relax and get away from the hustle and bustle of London. The lazy summer days, the barbecues, looking for antiques, having a drink in the local pub and watching insects in the pond.
This delicate knee-length panelled skirt is made in organic georgette with satin underskirt. Shell buttons decorate the back panel and the skirt features a satin waistband and raw edges on the georgette panels. The skirt is hand-dyed in pink and dip-dyed in antique gold at the hem.
The feel of Elena Garcia's new 2011 collection is romantic but edgy, delicate but dirty and antique. Old and new, feminine and unusual.
