LONDON FILM PREMIERE of 'The Future of Food'
Institut Francais, London
Thursday, 22 June 2006
"If you eat food, you need to see The Future of Food..." says one of the (many) film reviews of the ground breaking documentary 'The Future of Food'. Deborah Koons Garcia's beautifully made film makes unpalatable facts about GM technology easy to understand - and all the more urgent to resist. The Soil Association is joining the Guild of Food Writers in presenting the London premiere of 'The Future of Food'. Co-organised by Living Earth's editor Elisabeth Winkler (who is also a member of the Guild of Food Writers), the film premiere takes place at the Institut Francais, 17 Queensbury Place, London SW7 on Thursday June 22.
The film starts prompt at 6.00pm, and is followed by a discussion panel that includes the director Deborah Koons Garcia, and is chaired by Soil Association chair (and Green & Black's founder) Craig Sams. There are refreshments and organic finger food after the discussion.
Ticket prices are kept especially low at £5 to make this event accessible for all - this is an important must-see movie. Contact Elisabeth Winkler on ewinkler@soilassociation.org or 0117 914 2434 for further information.
To order tickets, please send a stamped addressed envelope, with cheques made payable to The Guild of Food Writers (tickets are £5 each) to:
