Permaculture Design Summer School Course (BIO1514)
Two weeks, 3 to 14 July - 9.30am to 4.30pm Monday to Friday (additional time until 5.30pm for slide shows and video optional).

This intensive 60 hour course (with at least 12 hours additional design project work) covers the Principles and Ethics of Permaculture. Students will gain an understanding of practical ways that they can reduce their environmental impact and design more sustainable systems that are applicable to urban and rural communities, industrial as well as Third world.
This course generates solutions to ecological problems. Those completing the course will have the opportunity to work towards a Diploma in Permaculture Design through the Permaculture Academy of Britain. This course is a great opportunity to study the design and practice of sustainable lifestyles and futures. It will appeal to a diverse group of individuals, including those interested in: wildlife; conservation; diet and nutrition; development and regeneration; ecological building and community dynamics.
Assessment: coursework (100%) 2 design work projects
